Yes....Windows runs natively when used with Boot Camp. Boot Camp allows for dual boot between Mac OS & Windows. But you don't even have to have a Mac OS installed to still run Windows natively. As long as you have an Intel-based Mac you can install just Windows on one partition. You just need to have the "Utilites" CD that is created through Boot Camp within a Mac OS. This allows Windows to function properly with the Mac hardware. I currently use one of the early Intel-based Macbooks with a dual boot of Windows & Linux Mint. Works great. |
