In this kind of case, the very first step is to start with new Chartbooks in order to simplify your Sierra Chart configuration. Do not use any existing Chartbooks. This is imperative in order to start from a clean state and gradually build up your configuration to what you require. To close your Chartbooks select File >> Close All Chartbooks.

Do not use any Advanced Custom Studies either at least for the time being. More information about these can be found in help topic 17:

Go to Global Settings >> General Settings and set the Chart Update Interval to 1000.
