What you describe is a graphics issue. It is totally unrelated to the original issue described in this thread. The debug log is not relevant in this kind of case at all. We do not observe the problem. However the problem is that transparency is being used by one of those studies. Do not use transparency. Clearly Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Wine 1.7.44 is having trouble with that.
