Post From: Changing tick size for Numbers Bars interferes with trading

Thanks for the tips! I tried changing Volume at Price Multiplier, but unfortunately that doesn't seem to play well with the Numbers Bars. The cells move further apart but stay the same height. Using two separate charts makes sense, although ideally I'd love to find a way to use a single chart to simplify my trading setup. The main thing I care about is being able to quickly and easily analyze the bid and ask order imbalances at different price levels because I'm using this for intraday scalp trading. Another thing I tried is using the Volume by Price study with Volume per Bar and Multiple Profiles Fixed by Bar Count. I love that approach because the histogram bars give a better visual representation of the imbalance, but the confusing part is that the Volume by Price study always fills the width of each period. This makes it hard to visually compare the right-most histogram with its neighbor because a given bar might be the same size but represent a different absolute volume. Otherwise, though, the flexibility of the Volume by Price study is terrific. Thanks again for your help. I really appreciate the care that you guys have put into making SierraChart so lightweight and powerful. I've got my fingers crossed that some day you guys will expand your company and also make the world's best option analysis software! That would be such a relief after struggling with some of the garbage people are selling for $100+ a month. |
