I observed that on the SPX500 a buy limit order didn't execute even if the price went 5 points below it. The same thing on USOil. It went down 60 points below my buy limit but didn't execute. There is some explanation for this is. We just do not know yet. But in general, there cannot be anything wrong with the Trade Simulation functionality in Sierra Chart. You will need to provide us a video so we can see this. Make sure there are no orders for the symbol entered from any other chart and go to the chart and make sure Trade >>Only Orders from Chart is unchecked. Also, the Daily P/L count screwed up yesterday.
For understanding about how the Daily Profit/Loss works refer to:https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_DailyProfitLossValue.html There is a reason for what you see. It does work properly but you might need to clear the Trade Activity Data for the symbol and Trade Account. I was up more than 60 point on USOil with a sell order,
when the price arrived to the target, the sell order was closed but the buy limit remained open and I had to close it manually. When you say "sell order" we assume you mean a Short Position. Please use the correct terminology so there is no misunderstanding. If the Buy Limit (Target) order filled and offset the position, it is not going to remain open if it has completely filled which it would in Trade Simulation Mode. If it still remains, there must be some misunderstanding and it is impossible for us to comment on this because we do not see exactly what you are seeing and we do not know exactly what you are doing. It is necessary to provide us a video. The Sierra Chart Trade Simulation functionality is 100% perfect. There cannot be a problem with it. We need to understand what it is you are doing, and what you are seeing exactly and we need to explain this because what you are describing simply makes no sense whatsoever.
