The innternet says the MultiCharts had this same problem and they changed the app so you cannot send new cancels if the preivous is still under the process. We could do this, but as a safety feature we allow the cancel to go through immediately even if one is already pending, to ensure that an order can be canceled under any conditions even when there has been some communication failure. When you see an order not disappear from the chart when you have canceled it, then select Trade >> Refresh Trade Data from Service. If the order has actually been canceled but there has been no response to the earlier cancel request, then this will remove the order from being displayed.
