An external problem can be a lot of things. At the time you notice this issue with Rithmic, provide a copy of the Message Log so we can see if there is some message from Rithmic indicating the problem. The very first step is to use a different computer and make sure you have a hardwired connection to the Internet. And make sure that all firewall software is fully removed from that system. The Windows firewall can remain. Computer problems are very complex, and it is not within the scope of our support to help with them. In the cases that we do, we will recommend removing firewall and antivirus software from a system. We will not struggle trying to make those things work. When users contact us for help, we are going to give instructions to fully remove them from a system. Another thing to do is to replace the network adapter on the computer and replace the modem used to connect to the ISP. And if you are using a router replace that. And once again make sure everything is hardwired. All of these devices must be considered suspect and you should try replacing them out one by one. And also replace the network cables. If you not have another computer, the very first step with the computer you have, is to delete the operating system you have installed and then reinstall it and do not use any firewall or antivirus software other than the Windows firewall. So you can see, there is quite a lot of work to solve a problem like this.
