Hi SC team, Singles (Not to confuse with Single prints) are a very important structural property of a TPO profile. A single is created when the current developing block of letters breaks (either down or up) out of the range created so far by the previous blocks of the current profile AND the next block of letters never returns to the breakout price. So the single is only confirmed and drawn when the next block of letters ends. The Single is then drawn as a Horizontal Ray/Line at the price of the breakout extending from the beginning of the session until future intersection. (See attached images.) * A single cannot be created during the first block of the profile because it has no range of previous blocks to relate to (we do not relate to the previous profile's range)and also since we need the next block to end for confirmation the first single of a profile can be created only when the 3rd block of the profile ends. If it is too complicated to extend the Single line exactly to the place within a future profile where is was intersected then it will be good enough if it would extend until the beginning of the profile in which it was intersected. If a single gets intersected within the same profile in which is was created then it's ok if the line will extend until the end of this profile. The study may be applied to any block duration (the typical is 30m of course)and to any profile length (RTH, 24h, weekly, monthly etc...). I personally know of at least 30 Sierra Users who need this feature. Thanks in advance. |
