I disagree. It will only get colorful and confusing if you use bad color combinations. There are many ways of building / designing color schemes using palettes or gradients to give you the 'right' effect. Besides, SC allows you to choose whatever color you want. Secondly, it will be useful for those of us who want to smooth it out (using good color schemes). And lastly, if you want to keep to the 0-20%, simply select the same color for 0-10 and 10-20 etc. Having the option to smooth it out wont affect you with that simple solution. :)
