Hi

i'm a long period user of sierra and have notice long time ago that there is an issue which i don't understand
as for sierra's behavior and decided to check it out w/ you - may be i do not understand something or may be a bug

firs - pls see that there are 2 files
(1) Date-Range - where chart's data is defined in terms of date range
(2) num-of-days - where chart's data is defined in terms of number of dates

problem#1 - doesn't matter which method i use - the info that sierra presents
(in the same figure) in field called: Date Range In File (yyyy-mm-dd) is incorrect

problem#2 - in both cases the earlier date in the chart is Oct. 2009. meaning that
that it is far before the [Date Range In File (yyyy-mm-dd) field] but much later
in ref. w/ the expected duration set by the 2 criterion as appears in the images

problem#3 - i set the number of days to load to chartbooks file is 9999 days
(as can be seen at the file chart-setting-max-history.png. so why it doesn't
affect the above info

question#1 - i'm using the study VolumeByPrice and witnessing the above issues
i'm wondering whether it actually loads the amount of data i set it to load
(which is from Jan. 2007)

question#2 - is there any hierarchy between the above data items set at Sierra

and bottom line question(s):
(1) number of days to load into file (Data/Trade Service setting)
(2) dates to load to chart (chart setting)
(3) study's dates setting (VolumeByPrice ... or any other study where applicable)

tnx!
