If you are still having issues, High CPU and memory usage on my computer. My computer says running of memory on hard disk.
Is my data saving onto the computer? How do you delete the data to create more memory space? These don't sound like Sierra Chart problems, but computer hardware problems. Sierra Chart saves historical intraday data to your hard drive in the SierraChart/Data folder as .scid files. If your hard drive is full then you will have problems. 1. Click on start button and type "windows explorer" in the search box. 2. Click on windows explorer. 3. Right click on the Local Disk (C:) icon in the left pane. 4. Click "Properties" and see how much Free space: you have left. 5. Report back here what it says, or better yet post a screenshot if you can. If you are out of hard drive space, your options are to 1) delete old .scid files, 2) compress your SierraChart/Data folder, which will free up lots of space with minimal effect on performance, 3) move your SierraChart/Data folder to a second hard drive already in your computer that has a enough free space, 4) get a bigger hard drive, 5) add a second hard drive and move your SierraChart/Data folder to the new second hard drive. If you aren't out of hard drive space, then I have no immediate ideas. Also sometimes my computer just shuts off by itself. Could that be related or too hot from video card? This could be a bazillion things. It could be software related, and it could be a problem that only you have based upon the combination of software and hardware specific to your computer. Because tolerances vary, it is possible that other computers of the same make and model may not have the same problems you are having. In lieu of someone else here taking a stab at helping you resolve this, I would go to a computer forum to try to figure this out. Start by searching "windows error reporting" to learn how to identify sources of problems and go from there. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2014-09-05 18:52:15
