I believe my description of the anomaly may either not be clear (most likely the case), or you did not really read it carefully enough to understand the nuance. Yes, the line snaps to the high and/or low, but if the high and/or low happen NOT to be on the "bookends" of the rectangle of bars I'm wishing to enclose (i.e. the high bar of the desired "range" and/or the low bar are "within" the particular grouping of bars I wish to enclose), then the "snap" occurs to the high or low of the group, but if I extend the rectangle to either side to enclose all (including the flanking smaller range bars with lower high and higher low than the longest), it will snap to the high or lows of one of the "outer" bars and leave what really is the high or low of the grouping sticking out above or below the rectangle OR it will snap to that highest or lowest but not allow me to extend in one or both directions to enclose the flanking smaller range bars as part of the grouping. In an attempt to actually try to do it yourself, take 3 or more bars with the center bar(s) the longest range with a high and low greater than the two flanking end bars on each side of the grouping. Try to draw a rectangle around the total grouping that has a dimension of H=height of center/longest bar (i.e. the high and low of that bar), and W=width of the 3 or more bars comprising the total desired grouping.
