1. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Clear Trade and Current Quote Symbol on Symbol Change (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trading menu) This option already exists and what you want is the standard behavior, at least previously. But there were users who wanted different behavior. So we added an option to do what you want. 2. What still does not is trading CBOT micros on a big contract chart while using the micros only for trading purposes. The reason is the same as before - DOM/chart is displaying amounts in cents, while the IB micros are in dollars so the order gets rejected by IB.
