The purpose of that setting is to automatically have the configuration name used as the displayed Text for a particular drawing. This way, you can setup different configurations with different names in order to have the particular text you want when you first create the drawing. The Properties are what you see after the drawing is drawn and you want to change those settings. So this item doesn't really make sense at that point of a drawing's life.
