If you are entering a "Limit" order (not a Limit Chase, or any of the items that have "Chase" in the name) then the Limit order will stay where it is, it will not chase. The setting for the "Max Chase for Chase Limit Orders" only applies when the order is one of the "Chase" order types. You need to look into what is causing that Limit order to move. It is definitely not being caused by the order type if it is actually set to "Limit". Our best guess is that you have a "Trade Management by Study" study on the chart that is causing this.
