Not sure what you mean by another desktop. Do you mean another instance?

Sierra Chart is moving away from Windows-related code dependencies, so I don't know if what you suggest would even be considered or if it even applies.

(On a side note: Using ChatGPT to recommend code changes to something as complex as Sierra Chart is probably not advised. You are in over your head.)

Most of the time it takes for a chart to open is reading the data from the SCID files on your disk and possibly downloading from the data feed. If there are a lot of studies to be calculated, that can also increase the time.

You can speed up data loading with an SSD drive if you don't have one, and by loading fewer days of data on each chart. You can also open other instances, which will take advantage of multiple CPU cores.
