Post From: Configuring Horizontal Viewable Range with Keyboard Inputs (and Locking)

I would like to be able to adjust the chart horizontal zoom using keyboard inputs, not by dragging with a mouse. For example, I want to be able to view 50 bars horizontally (with "50" entered into a field with my keyboard), and then I want to lock that horizontal zoom, perhaps with a check box or check mark. Less preferably, I would like to manually enter a start time and end time by filling in fields with my keyboard then locking this range with a checkbox. In both cases, I still want horizontal scrolling by dragging to remain active, but zooming should be disabled. Being able to configure the vertical zoom would also be useful. The ability to lock the horizontal width after setting it manually (by keyboard) would give the precision to view a day session from a specific start to finish (e.g. 78 bars on a 5 minute chart would correspond to the open outcry hours for the US equity market (9:30 AM to 4 PM)). Currently, changing the horizontal zoom using the mouse doesn't give me the accuracy I need to zoom into only 78 bars. |
