I also would like this behavior changed. I document many many market conditions and associated trades. I have TC buttons set to display text equal to the timeframe of the chart I am documenting and it saves me lots of time to select any text and press the TC button to change the text to "1hour" or "5minutes" or "1000 ticks" for example. It may seem trivial to have to re-type the text but doing that hundreds of times adds up.
