Hello, I realize this is an older thread, but it is related to AVWAP and I am wondering if anyone has seen this video from Price Action Volume Trader - Sierra Chart Guides - How To Apply an Anchored VWAP Study -- https://youtu.be/whAmfuJP0fY?si=NHmZ8QXkrsZgNNQX My question is, following his process, I get what looks like an anchored VWAP. Has anyone else tried this? The Price Action Volume Trader is one of two (that I know of) Sierra Chart users on Youtube that seem to really know their stuff. If you do not want to watch the video, here are the steps to make this work. - Add study -- [Tools] >> "Draw Volume Profile" >> Draw the profile on your chart - Go to Studies [F6] >> Select the added study "VbP - [date] to [date]" - Go to Change "Volume Weighted Average Price (SG5)" >> Doubleclick or click [Settings] >> Subgraphs >> Change the draw style to whatever you prefer (VbP-Subgraph_2.jpg), I also provide a shortname - Go to settings and inputs VbP-SettingsInput_1.jpg and VbP-SettingsInput_2.jpg - I'm not a Sierra Master [yet] but, I think you want to click [Set Defaults] if you do not want to change these settings each time you select the draw tool -- this is personal preference. - I also saved the study as a single collection but, I don't think that works for an Anchored VWAP, After this huge ramble, my question is... Does this actually behave like the Anchored VWAP in TradingView. |
