The reason you would be constantly put back in Simulation Mode is that you do not have your "Data/Trade Service Settings" set for your trading account. As such, you can only use simulation mode.

It sounds like you are setup for the Teton Order Routing, in which case follow the instructions at the following link starting at Step #5 (you are not already setup for any real-time data for the CME Group, so you need to set this up as well):
