Post From: Modify live bracket order by removing only one side of bracket

In trade window, I have multiple bracket orders configured, depending on market conditions I use one of the many configured attached orders. However, many times, when stock is moving in one direction with momentum, I would prefer to remove take profit side of order and keep the stop loss in place after order is live. So, I could exit the position manually after price has moved enough, however stop loss will be active all the time if price moves in other direction. This helps to achieve much larger profit at times than having fixed take profit target. (Currently, this is how it works under different scenarios) Market order once live: (Live market) When I remove take profit, it also removes stop loss attached order, main order remains active. Limit order: (Live market) Since it is limit order and it is not yet live, if I remove take profit, stop loss is still attached to original limit order. I believe it will still be attached to main order once it goes live. Market order once live: (Simulation mode) If I remove take profit side from live trade. The stop loss is still attached to active order. (This seems to be correct behavior) This is the behavior am looking for. Trade simulation seems to work correctly. If we remove one side of bracket order attached to live order the other side still remains attached to live order. Not sure if am missing something in market orders in live market or software needs update so it works like in simulation mode which seems very useful. Thanks |
