To begin with, the keystrokes have nothing to do with whether an order is accepted or rejected. It is just a matter of sending the correct order type at the correct price.

That being said, in order to place Buy order at a price above the market or a Sell order at a price below the market, you need to use a Stop-Limit order type. This is because the market price in both of these situations is a better price than what you specified, therefore the exchange is going to fill these immediately. Again, this has nothing to do with Sierra Chart or Interactive Brokers - it is an exchange thing. Refer to the following:
Order Types: Stop-Limit

In terms of setting up Keyboard shortcuts for orders, refer to the following:
Global Settings Menu: Customize Keyboard Shortcuts (Global Settings menu)

For right-click options for trading, refer to the following:
Global Settings Menu: Customize Chart Trade Menu (Global Settings menu)

And for pointer actions in the DOM, refer to the following:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Order Types (Global Settings >> Chart DOM Settings)
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:
