Appreciate the offer but I'm already a ways down this rabbit hole. Thanks for the tip (writing to a file as an intermediary step). I was thinking about this as well after some thought and will probably do this for now until I get a firm grasp of SC's way of doing things. What I gathered so far from reading in between the lines of the documentation is that SC generally wants us to think of chartbooks as sandbox environments and they are the only ones that can throw sand (which makes sense).
