Post From: Sierra Chart on Parallels extremely slow

Hi, I had been using Sierra Chart via Crossover for the last 2 years without any issues but in the last few months it has been extremely unreliable, constantly freezing and requiring a Force Quit and then restart which is unusable when trading.

I saw many people have had success with Parallels so have been trying it out but I am finding that it is extremely slow and sluggish in comparison to Crossover. When loading the same setup on Parallels with the X64 build it takes more than 20 mins to load the charts fully compared with about 1 to 2 mins on Crossover. Then once its loaded, moving charts and clicking things is very laggy and sluggish and the data is not staying updated in realtime. Using the ARM64 build is a bit faster at about 10 minutes but then custom studies that I have do not load which is frustrating. I saw the thread where people are raving about the ARM build being so much better than when running on Wine but that's not my experience at all. Its not even useable on either build as the data feed just doesn't seem to update.

I am using an M1 Macbook Air with 8GB of RAM - is it a case that my Macbook is simply not powerful enough to run it via a Virtual Machine or is there something I'm missing?

I would have thought that if its fine to run it using Crossover then it should actually be even better when running in Parallels?

Also is there a straightforward way to convert a .dll custom study that was created for X64 to one that will work with ARM? I am not a programmer and am using a custom study that was provided to me so I don't know how to build it from scratch for ARM.

Any advice or help much appreciated.

Thanks
