We cannot help with this. We will write documentation on this. When you change the bar spacing, you are changing the number of pixels between all of the bars. There must be a consistent amount of spacing between bars. When there are a large number of bars currently displayed in the chart, this will cause a significant change to the number of bars displayed. There is inherently no solution to what you want.
