As long as your chart is scrolled to the end, any new candles will be displayed at the right-hand edge. The only time this is not the case is if you have scrolled your chart back to look at something previously and then not scrolled back to the end again. One way to know if you are viewing the most recent data is the indicator in the bottom right corner of the screen. By default, it is green if you are scrolled to the end of the chart and red if you are not.
