There is a "Backups" folder that has all of the latest Chartbooks and global settings: But the backup that I had did not have all my latest settings.
There is not a possibility for you to lose your latest settings. Refer to: Chartbooks (Workspaces): Accessing a Backup Chartbook File Resetting Sierra Chart to a Default State / Restoring Backup Global Configuration File: Restoring Backup Global Configuration File No it is not related at all: I think it could be related to recent fix youll made. That we are 1000% certain of. We are 100% reaffirming, that it is fully impossible for an alert to be sent to the chat if this setting is 0 or blank: General Settings Window: Chat Identifier or Chat Name for Alert (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts >> Notification) Therefore, there must have been some configuration you were unaware of, and we are certain of that, causing Alert notifications to be sent to the chat. The configuration must have existed for a particular Alert Number being used, and a nonzero Chat Identifier for Alert specified, in a particular instance being used if messages were actively being sent to the chat, and not previously queued messages. There simply is no other possibility. None. This has consistently been the case. And there have been no changes with this at all including in the most recent release. Nothing. And this is one reason we no longer maintain the What is New page and describe what we are doing because users misinterpret it. It does not matter, if the Chat Group is deleted. If the Alert Number is configured to send to the chat and there is a Chat ID specified, then it will be sent to the chat whether it is deleted or not: You can see in post #1 , even in the message log that it was trying to send the msg to that group. Despite the group being deleted.
The only explanation for the MD5 error during installation, is that data was getting corrupted during the network connection. And that is something that should never really occur. We only see a problem like that when people are using Wine. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
