Yes, you can paper trade with Sierra Chart. There are two options in particular:
- Built-in Simulation Mode. Refer to the following:
Trade Simulation
- Simulated Futures Trading Service. Refer to the following:
Simulated Futures Trading Service

We offer free delayed streaming data with any package. We recommend using this data rather than trying to get real-time data. This data acts like the real-time data only is delayed by 10-15 minutes. You can use this delayed data with either simulation environment referenced above.

In order to get real-time data for the S&P 500 Index Futures, you would need to have a live, funded, futures trading account. And you need to be able to connect to that account at least once a month. And you then need to pay for the data. Refer to the following for more on this:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges

With regards to packages, you can also save on the cost if you only use the delayed streaming data, as you can then be on one of the "Base" packages. If you want real-time data, you would need to be on one of the "Integrated" packages. Refer to the following:

For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:
