Post From: TPO - Initial Balance Range Extension in.21 - Possible Feature Request Misinterpretation

For the past couple of hours I've been looking through TPO settings and additional studies to highlight the 9:30 - 10:30 am est Initial Balance Range. on a TPO profile that uses 3am - 7pm for a day session and 8pm to 3am for night session. Euro + American session as day. Japan session at night. The only progress that I have made, is that the ray drawing tool works when the TPO setting has Letters/Blocks in own column. This would be a time consuming process that I'm trying to work around. Also the time range highlight can vertically highlight this section with a transparent background. However, after looking through many studies, there are no options to make horizontal line extensions to highlight the High, Low, and Mid(Average) point in the IBR based on a set time to work with TPO. On A candle stick chart those studies would work just fine, but on market profile, that's not the case. This is where I think SC, misinterpreted a feature request in the TPO settings. Not many traders use this IBR % multiplier of the Initial Balance Range, because the highs and lows of this time period is extremely sensitive for higher volume participants to make new highs or lows in this time period. The setting does not work with a 0% multiplier, and that's actually want you want instead of a 1%. Anything higher gets more irrelevant to where the actual volume was placed. There is more use case in extending these high, low, and midpoints, until future intersection and across the block columns, across multiple day profiles with an option of until future intersection, end of window etc. My recommendation and quick fix to this study is just add a limiter to the Initial Balance Range (in.21). IBR Start at Block/letter (#). IBR End at Block/Letter (#). It's not totally necessary to fix the scaling for the 1% difference. Thank you. |
