I have a python script that calls the CMD "TASKKILL" command to shut down Sierra Chart after the market closes every day.
I would expect problems with such a technique on any Windows program, not just Sierra. Sierra_Chart Engineering, Does EXIT UDP string work as expected and do a File|Exit, Save All|Yes? In my testing, sending EXIT seems to cause Sierra to open a new chart named "EXIT" with a Symbol of "EXIT". See also: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/UDPAPI.html#ExitProgram |
