Would be good to know which moving avg study you are referring to. There are plenty.

Typically the moving averages calculate the average of the given number of bars.
The study does not care if you have days, weeks, hours, or even volume bars on.

It just takes the last, in your case 30 bars, from the current bar and calculates the average.
then moves to the next bar and again calculates the avg of the last "30" bars.

For each bar the avg value is plotted producing the average curve.

The first avg value can obviously only be plotted on Bar 30.
Before that there is not enough data available to calculate the mov avg (30)

Which bars you have on your chart you control via its chart settings.
