Wow, odd behaviour for a lag-issue? Although I suspected it to be related to that since it has only happened at the first half hour/fifteen minutes of regular open, but why now and not a month earlier or six months earlier. And of course I'd love to have the fastest, best, lag-free experience possible, but living in northern Europe and to keep it short, for tax reasons and the truly pure shit native brokers in the land (IBKR are miles ahead of them), the selection is limited. But working with what I've got. I've had no problems of this sort before and been using Sierra to trade MNQ/NQ since May, so I have to ask. Can this in any way be related to any of the scale in scale out settings? As in the communication/information becomes more complex for TWS or should I say their servers to handle, and therefore introduces extra delay? I had an earlier post here, regarding some warning related to me starting to use scale in scale out, but ignoring it has worked just fine until this year. Would using their pure gateway software perhaps improve anything (I doubt yes is the answer)? But then I'd be completely blind to what is a "ghost position" or not. If I were to write or call them regarding this issue except upgrade your servers and don't use log all on your switches and routers. You don't give me much to go on, is there anything specific I can point to perhaps? I mean I'm kind of stuck between two seats here, they will tell me to f off since I'm using Sierra I presume. And to be honest using tick based charts have completely changed the game for me, so not leaving that, and the convenience of key command order placement and charting in the same software beats what I had to use before by an unquantifiable amount for me. |
