Dear Support

Apologies for duplication.

I'm resetting my platform after many years to something that might be termed 'Sierra's best practices' but there are so many threads and not just a little confusion. Certainly on my part.

John (always clear) writes -

The main consideration for why to choose a specific time zone for a chart is Daylight Saving Time and the fact that the US changes on a different date than the rest of the world.

Therefore, it is best to have your time zone set to one of the US time zones that changes on the same date as the CME Group. This could be Central (where the CME Group is located), Eastern, Mountain, or Pacific. The choice of which one is personal and could be chosen based on where you live. For more information on this, refer to the following:
Time Zone Setting: Resolving Differences with the Transition To/From Daylight Savings Time in Different Time Zones

With regards to the Session Times, you would need to set those based on the actual open/close times for the time zone that you have set. In general this should work properly using the default information in the Symbol Settings (i.e. when you open a chart the default Session Times should be correct). But, if you are having issues, then look at the times at the CME Group website for the instruments you want and adjust accordingly. Refer to the following for more information on setting the Session Times:
Chart Session Times

But can someone provide simple and specific example for the following taking into account that I'm typically UK and my PC time is currently (UTC +00:00) Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London; Adjust for Daylight Saving (On). Of course there is other software, less important than Sierra that also the use PC clock time settings.

As I previously used 24 hours/Globex 00:00:00 to 23:59:50 and "Use Evening Session (No)" this was never a concern.

Would be very grateful for a clear (KISS) explanation as opposed to pointing to reference material I've already struggled to resolve.

Many thanks.
