Here's a list of tools that do not let me modify the font size and that do not respect the global values. I think we have to fix these so they at least respect the chart text global value style. And in a second step, each dialog needs to have a font selector added. OHLC Marker Chart Calculator wait a second. I found it! On Global Settings > Tool Settings > General There I can select "Global Chart Drawing Font" Mine was set to Consolas 3. Now it's fixed. This is the reason I think all the objects should be direct manipulation. Sometimes, the settings for an object are in so many places that it's easy to not realize where to look. It gives the impression that the tool was not developed by a single architect. One developer puts the settings in Global Font. The other puts the settings in Tool Settings. Another gives you an override of the global on the tool settings for some objects, but not for all of them and nobody gives you a link back to the global menu from the tool menu, so you have to go hunting for those global settings. Anyhow, I found them. Still. The other thoughts I mentioned above may be valid once they become a priority. Good thing we have tools like chat.openai.com and bard.google.com that can take entire forums and give priority lists of things that need to be solved and those that are already resolved. Should make it easier for the team, if they do start a "Drawing Tool Project" where they align all this stuff with a modern drawing system that uses vector graphics, PDFs with searchable text, and direct manipulation and perhaps chat-based object manipulation assisted by AI, to make the project easier to organize. |
