In the task manager ntoskrnl.exe is the task wich needs on average 30%(but it spikes and slows Sierra Chart down) of my CPU if I run Sierra Chart, if I close Sierra Chart ntoskrnl.exe goes close to zero. Sometimes I am expierienceing little freezes for a second(not every day). I am hoping that you can give me a hint because I assume that you will know what ntoskrnl.exe means and what it is good for and especially if Sierra Chart forces ntoskrnl.exe to consume a lot of my CPU power(3 to 6 times more wich of what Sierra Chart consumes for itself). I thought its a useful infomation for your engineering. Or has it to be that high ? I want to improve the performace of Sierra Chart as good as I can of course. Hyperthreading is disabled, Standard Compression ,1 Tick, 3 days loaded(mostly),little indicators, Windows 11, 8 core xeon, only Sierra Chart and Chrome are running. I am asking if with a chartbook wich contains 50 to 70 charts (spread out over multiple instances or seperate installations makes not a big difference), is it expected behavior or should I maybe change settings that I am not aware of in Sierra Chart, or in windows , and you maybe have an idea what could cause this high CPU usage and give me an advice how to reduce it. I think I already read all performance related sections in the documentation. I appreciate for your support. |
