Hey User61168, It is my first 'digging into' - using TJS (Trade-Journal-Spreadsheet). It does seem very capable in its rubik's cube-like rotating abilities of the data. Here are my thoughts on connecting SierraChart (SC) to TJS with some level of automation. I do realize the value of manually entering the trans info, it's so that me - the user - gets the real value of the program's abilities if it has the data. But that being said -- Being able to avoid mistakes and to save some time, some kind of connection to get the basic 'available' info from SC - Trade Activity Log "Fill" record into a TJS transaction. What I am thinking of, but I have not started, is to use AHK - AutoHotKey, which I use for other things, and have it to some level of semi automated way to get the records via SC - 'Copy All' to get those records - then put them in an existing / open Excel SS. Then copy each column to the appropriate column in your TJS. Then I can go into each new TJS record and update the additional info about each trade. I have 2 coding things & the usual life/family stuff ahead of this would be project. But one could do these steps manually. I have done this at a test of the logic. Select copy All from SC menu, then copy into temp SS. Then select columns of data multiple times to get all fields in temp SS to TJS, and find where they go, It seems to beat rekeying, saves on a lot of possible errors. Since there are soo many columns to match up and get copies, that is where the automation of a macro program would come in handy. Hope this helps, JohnR Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-08-10 02:46:14
