There are really two different kinds of spreadsheets within Sierra Chart. There are "standard" spreadsheets, which you would use by selecting "File >> New Spreadsheet" (or File >> Open Spreadsheet, if you have already started a spreadsheet and saved it). This spreadsheet works in many ways the same as Excel and lets you enter information wherever you want within the spreadsheet.

The other kind of spreadsheet is a Study/System spreadsheet (Spreadsheet Study, Spreadsheet System for Trading, and Spreadsheet System/Alert). These are accessed through the "Analysis >> Studies" menu option. These spreadsheets have the bar information in them and you enter formulas starting in row 3, and the formulas copy down the column. This way, each column is creating a set of data for each bar based on what you enter for your formula.
