It's best practice to set the Session Times to that which the exchange you're trading uses. This avoids issues at Daylight Savings transitions.
IOW, if you are trading the ES, use Chicago session times of 08:30:00 to 15:14:59

Then you must also set the time zone to Chicago...

You can use a global time zone or set each chart to a specific time zone.
To set the Global Time Zone, go to Global Settings >> Time Zone Settings
To set a chart's time zone, focus the chart, and go to Chart Settings >> Session Times tab >> Time Zone. Choose 'Use Global Time Zone', or a specific one.

However, since you are in Los Angeles, and it transitions to/from Daylight Savings time on the same days, you could use sessions times of
06:30:00 to 13:14:59 and a time zone of Los Angeles....

The point is: You need to match the session times to the chosen time zone, where both coincide with the exchange's session times and time zone.
