1. You need to enable the option for Lock After Positions Flattened. 2. Make sure you have the correct Account listed in the Profit/Loss Management and that the settings are correct for what you want to have occur. 3. It depends on how you have your profit setup. If you lost $1000 and it flattened, and then you started trading again without resetting anything, then you are starting from -1000, so if you want to be flattened at -2000, you would have to enter -2000. If, on the other hand, you reset your profit/loss so you were at at $0, then having a -1000 limit would work. You need to look at your situation.
