It really depends on what you want to accomplish.

If you are wanting to see the data, as it is for the one chart, on the other charts, then the Study/Price Overlay would be the way to go.

If, on the other hand, you have studies that would give different results in different charts, then you would need to have the studies individually in each chart.

If none of these apply then it comes down to which method has the higher calculation cost. VWAP has some calculation intensity, but items like Settlement Price, Open/Close do not. So you would need to look at the other studies and make your best estimate of whether you think having them individually on all charts is more calculation intensive than using the Overlay (there is not a good way to quantify this, so you just have to use your best guess).

Also note that if you do have each study individually on all charts you would probably want to link the charts for the studies so changes to a study will reflect in all charts. Refer to the following:
Chart Settings: Chart Linking >> Studies (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Linking menu)
