Hi, I am using the same studies (e.g. VWAP, horizontal lines for settlement price & RTH open, and some others) in multiple charts. I am wondering about the best practice here: (i) Is it better to create a central "data chart" that contains all these studies (I used a 1-minute intraday chart) and then use the study "Study/Price Overlay" to transfer these centrally defined & configued studies into all my other charts? (ii) Or is it better to individually create the same studies in every single chart I want to use them in? Option (i) has the advantage that I only need to configure everything once in my "data chart", and when I change a study setting there (e.g. line color) it is automatically applied to all other charts where I use this study via "Study/Price Overlay". However, option (ii) has the advantage that I need one chart less in my chartbook. Any insights/tipps into how to idealy handle this and how it is meant to be done in Sierra would be very much appreciated. |
