After having done one trading session I close it down for the day and then it is gone forever it seems, I can't find anything in the activity log even though I have "open filters". There should not be any problem like this.Go to the installation folder for Sierra Chart and check the TradeActivityLogs folder and see if you see the files for the trading activity that you are not seeing in the log.
