Hi, I have several custom automated trading studies for sierra chart that i want to run on my colocated server. A few of this strategies really benefit from having low latency execution. i need to know the answer to the following question so we can decide the exact requirement and get a quote. 1) Does sierra chart provide colocation service? what is the pricing? 2) Do I need to connect to DC3 for lowest latency? if not, please advise on which server to connect. 3) Can sierra chart allow direct cross connectivity? I want to have the shortest distance between sierra chart server and my colocated server. 4) Is 1 gig sufficient or do i need 10 gig? i will potentially trade a few hundreds contract round trip/day. 5) Do we need to connect to CME A feed or D feed? 6) what kind of server do i need to buy? does sierra chart program benefit from any particular brand or specs? 7) Any other requirement or specs for sierra chart to run smoothly and have lowest latency? 8) I am not sure if the difference in pricing between VPS and colocated server is worth it to have lower latency. how much faster is colocated server (a few thousand $/month) compare to just your regular VPS (a few hundreds $/month) If SC support or anyone in the forum have any info they can share, i would appreciate it. |
