There is not an option within the Drawing Properties, but if you right click on the Rectangle, you should have an option for Extend Drawing. That will convert the Rectangle to an Extended Rectangle. If the option for Extend Drawing is not on your right-click options, then go to Global Settings >> Customize Chart Drawing Menu and you can add the option.
