Hello SC Team, SierraChart continues to blow the competition away in so many areas that matter, including speed, reliability and the ability to customize studies. However, there is a particular area where the competition, such as TradingView, is much more customizable, and that is in adding comments to objects, customizing them, and choosing the timeframe visibility of the object and its related comments/text. Even the abominable MT4/MT5 includes the following capabilities. The benefits of using SierraChart far outweigh these options which other platforms include, but every single day I am in the charts I miss these capabilities and wish SC had them by default. It would be extremely helpful to be able to customize text/comments which the user can add to each drawing tool. 1. The ability to control what color, font and size the text/comment is. 2. Including the text inside of the Properties dialogue 3. Ensuring that the Text can be customized by the user, and not limited to just the Configuration Name 4. The ability to choose above/below object vertically as well as justify left, right, center horizontally. 5. When Custom text is added to an object and saved as a Configuration, that text should show up each time the configuration is used. Currently, if a custom text is added to a line, for example, it is not included when that configuration is used again. 6. Eventually, tools should be visible on timeframes which the user specifies in the configurations. These text/comments should follow those rules. 7. Please allow each setting to be given a hot-key, especially the ability to show/hide the comments for a given tool. In an ideal world, all the basic drawing objects (lines, extended lines/rays, rectangles, extended rectangles, etc.) would have the same set of options all under the settings panel. SierraChart could leapfrog the competition if the following capabilities were also added: - The ability to search for an object based on the comments/texts that were added to it. - The ability to show/hide all objects with a given comment/text. This would enable the user to have different layers of objects and only show those objects that are relevant at that time. In this way, the user would have so much more control over what is shown, and how to categorize the information. - For example, I may have some objects labeled "Reversal Areas." And other objects labeled "Continuation Areas." I could flip back and forth showing only one or the other or both at the same time. Many other use-cases for this as well. Thank you SC Team for your consideration of this suggestion. Mike T |
