If you want the sum of the alerts for the Color Background Based on Alert Condition, that is the number of bars for which this condition is true, then you would have to use the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition and set the Color Bar subgraph to Background. Then you have access to the Sum of Alerts subgraph from that study.
