If you are able to run in Safe Mode, but then have trouble when not in Safe Mode, then you need to look at the 3rd party studies you have on your charts, as when you are in Safe Mode the 3rd party studies are blocked. Therefore, there must be something with the 3rd party study that is causing the issue. As to automatically loading charts at login, did you deselect this option on the login screen when you selected Safe Mode by any chance? Be sure the option is enabled, you can do this either on the Login Screen or on the General Settings window (Global Settings >> General Settings >> General 1 >> Open Files on Startup).
