Are you certain that the entire Sierra Chart is locked up in this case? Keep in mind that when you click Cancel in this case the chart will stop loading, so the chart will be blank. So it can appear that you can not interact with the program, but you should be able to change charts or chartbooks and select menus.
Yes I am certain, because sometimes when it works, I can click to cancel and it stops loading and goes blank, and then I can change the setting on the chart to re-load it, as well as switch to other chartbooks. The times it does not work, I cannot click to cancel, the cursor changes to a spinning/loading light blue circle icon and I cannot stop the loading, or switch chartbooks, or do anything else within the entire Sierra Chart instance. I am not sure what causes the difference. |
