We are not able to reproduce this. We created a Keyboard Shortcut for the letter 'f' to open the Find Symbol window. When we press 'f' on the keyboard and the Graphics area is selected, then we properly get the Find Symbol window. But when we open the Chart Settings window and that window is active, selecting the 'f' key does not open the Find Symbol window. It does not matter if we are typing into the Symbol field, or having nothing selected. If you can give us the specific steps you are taking, then we can try to reproduce this.
