Post From: Tool Config buttons on Control Bar

Hello....

According to the manual:
Each Drawing Tool in Sierra Chart supports 24 individual configurations that can easily be selected before you use that Drawing Tool. This is controlled through the Tools >> Current Tool Config menu and the selection applies to the currently selected Drawing Tool.
Chart Drawing Tools: Using Multiple Drawing Tool Configurations

But what I notice is that you can only assign (or name) a Tool Config button once to put as a shortcut on a control bar.

For example: if I create a config for an extending rectangle and assign it to TC1 and I create a config for a horizontal line and also assign it to TC1 - I would need to name this button on the Control Bar something that tells me it is an extending rectangle config and a line config which will work assuming I've clicked the relevant tool first.

What I'm saying is I cannot create 2 TC1 buttons and rename them accordingly. I understand that you need to have the relevant tool activated before a TC button will work and a TC1 button will refer to the TC1 of whichever tool is currently selected.

However, I may have 3 different extending rectangles and 3 different horizontal lines and three different something else. And within those tools I'm assigning the configs in chronological order. But if I want to create shortcuts there is just one TC1 button which can't be duplicated which means I need to remember what the configs are or just make really big buttons with lots of info which needs to be updated each time I create a new TC1 within a new tool.

Is this right? Am I missing something?

Any help greatly appreciated.
